As you probably know, here at Big Dog’s Brewing Company we’re all about supporting local businesses and promoting local love!
That’s why for the upcoming American Craft Beer Week we’re doing a Nevada Tap Takeover that will feature only Nevada breweries! That’s right… 50+ taps all flowing with beers made right here in the Silver State!
Here’s why you should NOT miss out on this amazing event that’s focused on supporting our brewing community and drinking incredible craft beers.
A Cause That’s Close to Our Hop-Loving Hearts
Join us Saturday, May 20th from 4pm-11pm as we slew $6 beers — a whole mouth-watering array of 50+ Nevada beers on tap to tickle your fancy!
On top of that, the proceeds benefit the Nevada Craft Brewers Association.
This means that literally every local beer you have supports an organization that’s all about helping our breweries and brewers, giving back to our communities, and advocating to modernize beer laws in Nevada.
This organization strives to make sure that the little guys, aka local breweries, are shown all the love and support possible — that they don’t just survive, but that they thrive!

Live Music in the Big Dog’s Tap Room
The NV Tap Takeover is also a perfect chance to spend the evening in the all-new Big Dog’s Tap Room at Big Dog’s Draft House. This newly remodeled space is your new home for craft beer in the Northwest valley. Home to 20 separate taps filled with one-off creations from the Big Dog’s team, this is your place to eat, drink and be merry.
The Tap Room is also home to Big Dog’s sponsored special events like March’s Horse Soldier Bourbon Tasting event, Big Dog’s tappings, and weekly “Taproom Tunes” every Saturday night. In honor of the NV Tap Takeover, we’re bringing a special line up of two artists that will perform throughout the event.
1st up is our friend Arrow, who will be strumming and singing 5-8 pm. Following Arrow’s performance, we will welcome local favorite Donzo, who will be performing 8-11 pm.
Other Ways to Support the Nevada Craft Brewers Association
Buying pints of your favorite Nevada beers is not the only way to help support the cause, though it is important to point out that up to $4 per pint is being donated to the Nevada Craft Brewers Association. The NCBA is our state’s guild for promoting and supporting the industry and advocating for modernized beer laws to help the industry thrive. Donations to the NCBA fund our advocacy efforts on behalf of Nevada’s brewing community as well as shine a spotlight regularly on its members, helping to spread the word that Nevada is home to world-class brews.
At this event, you will also have two more additional ways to support the cause!
“Yeti” Cooler Raffle. We’ve brought in a big boy 65-quart Yeti cooler valued at over $500 and we’re filling it with cans of Nevada beer! This is the grand prize you’ll be drooling over, but it won’t be the only prize we’re giving away during the NV Tap Takeover.. We’ll have multiple swag baskets and gift cards to raffle off. Again, all proceeds directly benefit the NCBA! Tickets are just $5 each.
“Drink Nevada Beer” T-Shirts. The latest design of the popular “Drink Nevada Beer” t-shirts will be available at the event. Proceeds directly benefit the NCBA! Shirts are $20 each and include a raffle ticket to our Yeti cooler drawing.
